good morning Russia

It’s 2:00 a.m.,the sun is starting to peek out from under the hood of clouds and fog. looking for Kamchatsky island, Russia, somewhere out there in the distance. The water temp is 39* F, our tank water is the same. And the boat floor and toilet seat. The oven struggles to maintain an even temperature to bake. We are wearing 3 layers of wool clothing under our coats, sleep in stocking hats, and huddle under the pile of pillows and blankets during the balmy day temp of 49*F. The joys of ocean cruising in crisp clean air, dark blue water, seeing whales spout, and not seeing another soul other than your mate, is our life.
The wind is picking up, we are bracing for stronger wind and big waves today. Sailing with a 20% reef in yankee, storm job and 2nd reefed mainsail through the short dark hours. Doing 5.8kts on fairly calm seas.

Hello Konami crew! We are following your posts from our air conditioned apartment, overlooking our disassembled vessel in Malaysia, sigh. We are listening to drongos singing, sipping our coffee in our underwear (it is already 85 degrees) and wondering how you two are faring as you encounter your first winds as the low fills overtakes you… We send warm vibes your way, and thank you for posting your crossing of the northern Pacific! Cheers, Fluid Motion.

Are you following the worldcup in Russia? Japan is doing pretty good.

May the fair weather stay with you all the way to your destination.
